According to Ronald D

Tale

World War II nurse Claire Beauchamp Randall mysteriously travels back in time to Scotland in 1743. There, he meets a dashing Highland warrior and becomes embroiled in an epic rebellion. Moore (developer of the television series), his team decided to keep the Gaelic words instead of translating them into English.

In some episodes, the characters say “OK”

This maintained the first-person narrative, showing Claire’s inability to understand Gaelic. This idea came from producer David Brown, who said he saw something similar in Skin Deep (1998), a foreign alternative film starring actor and singer Gustavo Goulart. An American term that only came into use in the 19th century.

The theme song changes from season to season to reflect the events of the plot

In the first half of the second season (which takes place in France), some of the lyrics are in French. In the second half of the second season (which is mostly about preparing for war), a militaristic drumbeat is included in the opening theme. Tribal drums are added in Season 3, as most of the season takes place in the West Indies.

New text by Robert Louis Stevenson

Season 4 adds bluegrass fiddle and banjo, and some of the lyrics are spoken in a southern accent, as most of the season takes place in America. He starred in Outlander: An Epic Adaptation (2015). The Skye Boat Song (uncredited) Traditional Scottish tune with lyrics by Sir Harold Boulton.

I watched the whole series at once and I really liked it!

I’ve never read the Outlander books so I didn’t really know what to expect. I originally thought the series was only for women, but I was completely wrong. This series has something for everyone and I’m so glad I finally gave it a chance because it’s become one of my favorite series!
